DAY 20: SATURDAY BONUS
Growth Takes Time
“He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the
day of Jesus Christ:”
Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
You will not learn everything in one week. Neither will your parents.
Sometimes growth is easy to see. Sometimes it looks like someone catching themselves halfway through a reaction and trying again. Sometimes it is an apology. Sometimes it is a boundary. Sometimes it is one calmer conversation than last time.
Do not demand perfection from yourself or from your family. Do pay attention to fruit.
Real growth keeps moving toward truth, love, responsibility, repentance, and safety.
TAKE A MOMENT
What is one small way you have grown recently?
What is one small way you have seen someone in your family grow?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
Encourage one family member for a real change you have noticed. Be specific.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in growth.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it. Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
