WEEK 4
DAY 22: MONDAY
Do Not Let Loneliness Make Your Choices
“When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take
me up.”
Psalm 27:10 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Wanting friends and belonging is normal. But loneliness can make us accept friendships, groups, messages, dares, or relationships that are not good for us.
You do not have to trade your convictions for a seat at somebody's table. You also do not need to become hard or superior.
Be kind, but choose closeness wisely.
The people you let influence you will help shape what feels normal. Ask whether a friendship helps you become more truthful, responsible, peaceful, and faithful to God.
TAKE A MOMENT
Have you ever gone along with something because you did not want to be left out?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
Think of the people closest to you. Ask God to help you be a good friend and choose friends wisely.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in loneliness.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.
Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
