DAY 66: WEDNESDAY

Other People's Feelings Are Real, But They Are Not Yours to Control

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”
Romans 12:18 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

Someone can be upset with you and you can still be okay.

Sometimes you need to apologize. Sometimes you need to listen. Sometimes they are upset because you held a good boundary. Sometimes their feeling is about something else entirely.

You are responsible for your words and actions.

You are not responsible for making every person happy.

Safe people care about feelings without becoming controlled by them.

TAKE A MOMENT

What happens inside you when someone is disappointed or angry with you?

BUILD IT THIS WEEK

Ask: Is there something I need to own? If yes, own it. If not, stay kind without trying to force their feeling to change.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.

Help me grow in emotions.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
