DAY 62: SATURDAY BONUS

Slow Is Safe Sometimes

“In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:”
Isaiah 30:15 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

Fast is useful sometimes. Emergencies require action. Sports require quick decisions.

But not every conversation is an emergency.

When emotions rise, slowing down can keep you from saying something you cannot take back.

A safe home gives people permission to pause and return.

If you need a break, say so respectfully and come back when you said you would.

Do not use silence to punish people.

TAKE A MOMENT

What happens when you get overwhelmed in a conversation?

BUILD IT THIS WEEK

Practice saying: I want to respond well. Can I have a few minutes, and then we can finish talking?

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.

Help me grow in slowing down.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
