DAY 55: SATURDAY BONUS
Real Strength Does Not Need a Show
“He that is slow to anger is better than the
mighty;”
Proverbs 16:32 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Strength is not volume. It is not winning every argument, proving you are toughest, or making people afraid to challenge you.
Real strength can stay steady.
It can apologize. It can walk away from a fight that would be foolish. It can defend someone who is being mistreated. It can say no to peer pressure. It can be gentle without becoming weak.
Girls need this kind of strength too. Self control is strength submitted to God.
TAKE A MOMENT
Where are you tempted to prove you are strong?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
Choose one situation where you normally react. Decide ahead of time what a strong, controlled response would look like.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in strength.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.
Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
