WEEK 5

DAY 29: MONDAY

When God's Way Is Different From Yours

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
Isaiah 55:8 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

You will make plans. Some will happen. Some will change.

Growing with God means learning that disappointment does not automatically mean disaster.

Your parents may make decisions you do not understand. You are allowed to ask respectful questions and express real feelings.

But you can also learn to obey appropriate authority without needing every decision to be your preference.

Someday you will carry more responsibility. Learning to handle disappointment now prepares you to carry freedom wisely later.

TAKE A MOMENT

How do you act when a plan changes or you hear no?

BUILD IT THIS WEEK

The next time you are disappointed, tell the truth about your feeling without disrespect. Then ask what faithful response belongs to you.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.

Help me grow in plans.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
