DAY 31: WEDNESDAY

Love Helps Without Taking Over

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

It is hard to watch someone you love struggle. You may want to fix it for them. Sometimes helping is exactly right. Other times love means listening, encouraging, praying, or letting someone learn.

Young men need to learn that protecting people is not the same as controlling them.

Young women need to learn that caring about someone does not mean carrying all their emotions.

All of us need to learn the difference between helping and taking over.

Ask before jumping in. Respect another person's responsibility when it is safe to do so.

TAKE A MOMENT

When someone struggles, do you fix, lecture, panic, ignore, or listen?

BUILD IT THIS WEEK

Practice asking: Do you want help, advice, or just someone to listen?

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.

Help me grow in helping.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
