Walking with God · Part 3 of 19
Walking Without Fear
“And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid... and I hid myself.”Genesis 3:10 (KJV)
Before sin, Adam and Eve knew no shame, hiding, insecurity, or fear of abandonment. After sin, the voice that once brought peace stirred fear. God had not changed, but sin had distorted the way Adam saw Him.
Fear still whispers that God cannot be trusted and that we must protect ourselves. The answer is not more certainty, but drawing nearer to the One who never changes and learning to trust His voice more than fear’s voice.
Reflection
What fear competes for my trust? When I am afraid, do I draw closer to God or hide from Him?
