Walking with God · Part 15 of 19
Carrying One Another Without Carrying What Belongs to God
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”Galatians 6:2 (KJV)
There are things we help carry and things each person must carry before God. I can pray, encourage, forgive, tell the truth, and support healing. I cannot surrender, obey, repent, or build another person’s relationship with God for them.
Jesus loved the rich young ruler, spoke truth, and allowed him to walk away. Love did not become control. We are branches beside one another, both dependent on the same Vine.
Reflection
Am I helping carry a burden or trying to carry someone’s life? What belongs in God’s hands instead of mine?
