Prepare the room and protect the person
Room and supplies
Bibles, Participant Workbooks, pens, index cards, sticky notes, and plain paper.
Comfortable seating for shared teaching and circles of four to six.
A quiet place for private prayer and optional one-to-one leader conversation.
Simple refreshments at arrival and a lunch plan that protects the schedule.
A visible clock and a follow-through plan for new believers and anyone requesting support.
Community agreements
Participants may pass, write privately, step out, or request a private conversation.
Personal stories remain private unless safety or reporting responsibilities require help.
No one is pressured to disclose a wound, repair a relationship publicly, or contact someone unsafe.
Biblical truth, personal conviction, preference, and interpretation are named honestly rather than treated as interchangeable.
Leaders do not diagnose, take sides in an unresolved dispute, promise reconciliation, or make a participant responsible for another person's response.
Circles and care
Use mixed teaching with smaller circles for conversation. Separate men's and women's circles may be offered when that supports honesty and wise encouragement. Serious harm, abuse, self-harm concerns, threats, or ongoing coercion should move toward appropriate pastoral, professional, emergency, advocacy, or legal support rather than remaining inside a group exercise.
