DAY 55: SATURDAY

YOU DON’T HAVE TO SOLVE IT TODAY

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:” Psalm 37:7 (KJV)

MY PRAYER FOR YOU

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for bringing this woman to another Saturday.

You know what is still sitting on her mind from this week, the questions without answers, the decisions she’s considering, the conversations she’s still processing, and the things she wishes she could resolve.

Today, help her recognize that not everything needs an answer right now. Give her wisdom to handle what genuinely needs her attention and permission to leave the rest with You. Quiet the pressure to figure everything out. Help her enjoy her children, her home, and the ordinary gifts around her without carrying every unresolved thing into every moment.

Teach her that waiting isn’t neglect. Sometimes the wisest thing she can do is give something time, pray, watch, and let clarity come instead of forcing an answer because uncertainty feels uncomfortable. Let today be lighter. Let there be room for laughter, connection, something enjoyable, and actual rest.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

DEVOTIONAL

It is Saturday, so we’re keeping today simple.

There may be something you’ve been thinking about all week.

A decision.

A relationship.

A conversation.

A problem with one of your children.

Something you need to figure out.

And because you finally have a little more space today, your mind may decide this is the perfect time to solve it.

Maybe it isn’t.

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:” Psalm 37:7 (KJV)

Not every unanswered question is an emergency.

Sometimes you genuinely need more information.

Sometimes emotions need to settle.

Sometimes another person needs time.

Sometimes you need time.

Sometimes God hasn’t made the next step clear yet.

You don’t have to force clarity because uncertainty is uncomfortable.

There are decisions that need to be made quickly, but many don’t.

Give yourself permission to say, “I don’t know yet.

I’m still praying about it.

I need more time.

I’m going to wait before I respond.”

Those aren’t weak answers.

Sometimes they’re wise ones.

You’ve spent this week thinking about outcomes, conversations, worry, peace, and being misunderstood.

You don’t need to spend today examining all of it again.

Let some things sit.

You may discover that something feels different after you’ve slept, worshipped, prayed, rested, or simply stopped thinking about it for several hours.

Rest can create room for perspective.

And while you’re waiting for clarity about one part of your life, don’t miss the parts that are already here.

Enjoy your children.

Eat something you like.

Go outside.

Laugh.

Listen to music.

Take a nap if you need one.

Do something ordinary without making it productive.

If there are things that need to be done today, do them.

But you don’t have to turn Saturday into another day of solving everything.

Tomorrow, you’ll worship. Monday, there will be more work. Today, let something remain unanswered.

God isn’t confused just because you don’t know what to do yet.

TAKE A MOMENT

Think about the thing you most want to figure out today.

Does it actually require an answer right now?

If it doesn’t, give yourself permission to leave it alone for the rest of the day.

JOURNAL WITH GOD

What have I been putting pressure on myself to figure out?

Does this actually require an answer today?

What would I enjoy today if I stopped thinking about this for a little while?

YOUR TIME WITH GOD

Keep your time with God simple today.

Tell Him what you don’t know.

Ask for wisdom.

Then stop trying to manufacture the answer.

If something becomes clear, receive it. If it doesn’t, let that be okay for today.

You can pray without solving.

You can wait without worrying.

You can rest while something remains unfinished.

And you can enjoy what is good while another part of your life is still uncertain.

God doesn’t need you to figure everything out before you’re allowed to have a peaceful Saturday.

Let something wait.

Let yourself rest.

You don’t have to solve it today.
