Lead People Toward Faithfulness
Legacy is a substantial retreat for the whole church family. It stands on its own and also partners naturally with Legacy: Make Disciples. Live Faithfully. Leave What Points to Christ. Participants do not need to have read the book or attended another Purpose-Led Discipleship retreat.
The experience begins with the person’s life now. It makes room for adults who are single, married, divorced, widowed, parenting, without children, beginning in faith, or carrying many years of church experience. Every participant should be able to understand that belonging and purpose are received in Christ, not earned through family status, visibility, influence, or achievement.
CORE DECLARATION
---
You were created for purpose, with purpose, by God. Your job is faithfulness. God gives the increase.
What Participants Should Leave With
A Christ centered understanding of legacy as present faithfulness rather than fame or remembrance.
Freedom to recognize their place and purpose whether or not they are married or raising children.
A clear way to identify what should stop, what should begin, and what should continue.
One person or community they can strengthen through practical discipleship.
One burden or outcome to release and one responsibility to carry faithfully.
A clear understanding of the gospel and an invitation to receive Christ.
A written next step they can revisit after the retreat.
Leader Posture
Lead with conviction and warmth. Do not measure emotion, public response, family appearance, or spiritual language as proof of change. Give people room to think, pray, ask questions, receive care, and respond voluntarily. The goal is not to make participants dependent on the retreat. It is to help them remain close to Christ and become able to help someone else do the same.
