WEEK 3
DAY 15: MONDAY
Peace Does Not Mean Everything Is Easy
“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Following Jesus does not make every problem disappear. Peace means we can belong to Him even while something is hard.
You can be sad and still trust God. You can be disappointed and still speak respectfully. You can disagree and still be safe. Your parents may be learning this too.
A growing family does not become a family with no conflict. It becomes a family that handles conflict differently.
We stop treating every hard feeling like an emergency and start asking what love, truth, and wisdom require.
TAKE A MOMENT
What hard feeling makes you want to react quickly?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
The next time a hard feeling comes, name it before acting: I am angry. I am hurt. I am scared. Then ask God how to respond.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in hard days.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.
Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
