DAY 90: SATURDAY BONUS
Build Your House on the Rock
“Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will
liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a
rock:”
Matthew 7:24 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
You have spent these weeks learning that a strong life is not built in one giant moment.
It is built by hearing Jesus and doing what He says. Stillness. Truth. Forgiveness. Boundaries. Responsibility. Rest. Self control. Courage. Asking for help. Safe words. Honest apologies. Wise friendships. Trusting God when you do not know the ending.
These are not random lessons. They are ways of practicing a life rooted in Christ.
Your parents have been growing too.
You are not responsible for their growth, and they are not responsible for making every choice for you forever.
But you can encourage one another.
Young men can become men whose strength makes people safer, not afraid.
Young women can become women whose strength includes truth, discernment, courage, and peace.
Brothers and sisters can learn to repair instead of punish.
Families can become places where people are allowed to grow.
The Rock is not a perfect family.
The Rock is Christ and His Word.
Storms still come. What matters is what the house is built on.
TAKE A MOMENT
What has God shown you about the kind of person you are becoming? What kind of atmosphere do you want your choices to help build in your home?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
As a family, name one thing each person has learned. Then pray together: Jesus, teach us to hear Your words and do them. Build our lives on You.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in rock.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.
Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Where Do We Go From Here?
You have reached the end of these 13 weeks, but formation does not end here.
You have learned to notice what is happening inside you.
You have practiced slowing down before reacting. You have learned that forgiveness and boundaries can exist together, that feelings matter without becoming your leader, that responsibility is different from control, and that peace can exist before you know how everything will turn out.
Now the question becomes less about finishing a devotional and more about how you will walk.
Will you go to God first when life gets loud?
Will you know His Word well enough to recognize truth when other voices compete for your attention? Will you become someone people can tell the truth around?
Will your strength protect rather than intimidate?
Will your kindness have boundaries?
Will you apologize when you are wrong? Will you let other people grow without trying to control their growth?
Your parents will keep growing too. Encourage what is good. Be patient with real change. Tell the truth when something is wrong. Receive apologies when repentance is genuine. Ask for help when you need it. Remember that you are part of your family, but you are not responsible for carrying the whole family.
Most of all, keep learning to walk with God for yourself.
A house is not built on the Rock because a parent believes. It is not built on the Rock because a family owns Bibles, attends church, or completes devotionals. Jesus said the wise person hears His words and does them.
Keep hearing.
Keep learning.
Keep obeying.
Keep returning to Christ.
Then, one ordinary choice at a time, keep building.

liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a
rock:”
