DAY 76: SATURDAY BONUS

Teach Your Body That Rest Can Be Safe

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.”
Psalm 4:8 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

Your body can learn patterns.

If you have spent a long time tense, busy, or alert, slowing down may feel uncomfortable.

You might bounce your leg, check your phone, listen for arguments, or feel like you forgot something.

Rest can be practiced. Breathe slowly. Pray. Stretch. Go outside. Sit somewhere safe. Let your shoulders drop.

Remind yourself what is true right now.

If something is genuinely unsafe, tell a trusted adult. But when you are safe, practice letting your body know it.

TAKE A MOMENT

What does your body do when you are stressed?

BUILD IT THIS WEEK

Take five slow breaths and pray Psalm 4:8. Notice what changes in your body.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus. Help me grow in body.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
