WEEK 8
DAY 50: MONDAY
You Cannot Control the Ending
“A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his
steps.”
Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
You can study and still get a question wrong. You can be kind and someone may still not like you. You can apologize and the other person may need time. You can tell the truth and still face consequences.
Faithfulness is not the same as controlling the result.
A safe person learns to do what is right without using pressure, guilt, anger, or manipulation to force the ending they want.
TAKE A MOMENT
When do you try hardest to make someone respond the way you want?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
Do one right thing today without demanding a certain reaction in return.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in outcomes.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.
Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
