DAY 3: WEDNESDAY
Peace Can Feel Strange at First
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto
you:”
John 14:27 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
Sometimes calm feels strange when you are used to noise, arguments, worry, or always wondering what will happen next.
You may even feel like something must be wrong because nothing is wrong.
Jesus gives a kind of peace that does not depend on everything around you being perfect.
Your parents may be learning how to stop bracing too. Give them room to grow.
If Mom or Dad responds differently than before, do not test the new peace by pushing harder. Join it.
You can lower your voice. You can tell the truth without drama. You can let a good moment simply be good.
A peaceful home is not a home where nobody has feelings. It is a home where feelings do not get to control everybody.
TAKE A MOMENT
When things are calm, do you enjoy it or start looking for what might go wrong?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
Notice one peaceful moment today. Thank God for it instead of searching for a problem.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in peace.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it. Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
