You Can Take the Next Step Without Knowing the Whole Road

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

DEVOTIONAL

A lamp shows enough for the next steps. It does not light every mile at once.

You may not know what school will be like next year, who your closest friends will be, what job you will have someday, or what your family will look like years from now.

You do not need all of that information to follow God today.

Learn His Word. Tell the truth. Do your work. Be kind. Keep boundaries. Ask for help.

Those small faithful steps build a life.

Choose one next right step and do it without demanding the whole plan.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.

Help me grow in next step.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
