WEEK 6
DAY 36: MONDAY
Learning to Trust Calm
“And let the peace of God rule in your
hearts,”
Colossians 3:15 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL
When your family starts changing, calm may feel unfamiliar.
You may be used to knowing what role you play when everyone is upset. Maybe you joke, disappear, argue, fix, defend, or become extra good.
But if the adults are learning healthier ways to respond, you can learn new ways too.
You do not need to create a problem because calm feels strange. Let peace become familiar through practice.
TAKE A MOMENT
What role do you usually take when your home feels tense?
BUILD IT THIS WEEK
Today, if the house is calm, do not test it. Add to it with one peaceful choice.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus.
Help me grow in calm.
Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.
Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.
Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
