Opening

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” John 15:8 (KJV)

What Is All of This Producing?

We have talked about trusting God, knowing Him, abiding in Christ, becoming, standing in truth, healing, purpose, and walking faithfully with other people. Eventually growth asks another question: What is all of this producing?

If Christ is changing us, something should begin growing from our lives. Not perfection. Not performance. Fruit.

The Vine Is Still the Source

Jesus said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches...” John 15:5 (KJV). A branch does not manufacture fruit. It receives life from the Vine and what is happening inside eventually becomes visible outside.

Fruit does not create connection to Christ. Connection to Christ produces fruit. We belong, abide, receive, surrender, and He changes what grows from us.

Fruit Becomes Visible

Prayer, conviction, repentance, healing, Scripture, surrender, and private obedience may begin unseen. Eventually they affect speech, anger, money, responsibility, forgiveness, service, and the way we treat people.

Jesus said, “For every tree is known by his own fruit.” Luke 6:44 (KJV). One bad moment does not define us, but patterns tell us something.

Fruit Takes Time

Maybe you still struggle, but you struggle differently. Maybe you panic less, listen more, apologize sooner, or obey where you once resisted. Fruit does not have to be fully mature to be real.

Some of the most important fruit is ordinary: patience with a child, keeping our word, refusing gossip, quiet giving, showing up, prayer, and faithfulness.

Fruit Nourishes and Carries Seed

What God develops in us can nourish someone else. Patience affects children. Wisdom helps a friend. Generosity meets a need. Testimony offers hope.

Inside fruit is seed: a conversation, prayer, Scripture, example, repentance, or Gospel witness. Paul planted, Apollos watered, and God gave the increase. We are not responsible for the entire harvest.

Before We Begin

The question becomes: God, what do You want to grow from my life? The fruit exists for the Father's glory, not the branch's glory.

Remain in Him. Receive from Him. Let Him prune what needs pruning and grow what needs growing. A life connected to Christ was created to bear fruit.
