Walking with God · Part 10 of 19
When God Prunes What Is Growing
“Every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”John 15:2 (KJV)
The Father does not prune only dead branches. Sometimes He touches something good, familiar, or once fruitful because He sees what the branch cannot yet see. Not every loss is pruning, but every season of change can be brought to the Gardener.
After pruning, the branch does not glue the old growth back on. It remains connected to the Vine. We do not have to rush to fill every empty space. The same hand that prunes is tending what will grow next.
Reflection
What may God be asking me to release or leave unfilled? What might He want to grow in me?
