Stewarding Your Resources

What God has placed in your hands has been entrusted to you. It is not random.

“The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

Psalm 24:1 (KJV)

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

1 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV)

Stewardship reveals the condition of the heart in how you spend your time, use your money, manage your energy, and respond to opportunity.

None of it is insignificant.

What God has placed in your hands has been entrusted to you. It is not random.

Faithfulness is not just proven by what we gain. It is revealed in how we manage what we already have.

Everything entrusted, nothing insignificant

Psalm 24 begins with ownership: the earth and everything in it belong to the Lord. Stewardship begins when we stop treating time, money, energy, possessions, and opportunities as disconnected pieces of life and begin recognizing them as gifts placed in our care.

Wise stewardship is not driven by fear or comparison. It pays attention to limits, chooses priorities intentionally, practices generosity, avoids waste, and makes room for what matters most. It asks not simply, ‘How much do I have?’ but, ‘How can what I have serve God’s purposes?’

Contentment and responsibility belong together. We can care well for what we have without being controlled by it, hold possessions with an open hand, and respond when God opens a door. Faithfulness is revealed in the daily management of what is already present, long before more is added.

Reflection

What resource am I most tempted to treat as entirely my own?

Does the way I use my time and energy reflect what I say I value?

What would wise, faithful stewardship look like in one practical decision this week?

Steward it wisely, faithfully, and for His glory.
