DAY 80: WEDNESDAY

Do Not Build a Story From What You Do Not Know

“He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.”
Proverbs 18:13 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL

A short text. A facial expression. A closed door. Someone saying, Fine.

Your brain can create a whole story from a tiny amount of information.

Maybe they hate me. Maybe I am in trouble. Maybe something terrible happened.

Safe relationships ask instead of accuse.

Learn to check facts. Do not read between every line and then punish someone for the story you invented.

TAKE A MOMENT

When do you assume you know what someone is thinking?

BUILD IT THIS WEEK

Before reacting to an assumption, ask one respectful question that could give you real information.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

thank You for teaching me how to build my life on Jesus. Help me grow in assumptions.

Show me what belongs to me, help me tell the truth, and teach me to respond with wisdom instead of reacting from fear or anger.

Help me notice the growth happening in my family without trying to control it.

Make me someone who brings truth, courage, responsibility, kindness, and peace into the places You have put me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
