Chapter 11

When You Cannot See the Growth Yet

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”

Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

Some growth is obvious. Other growth happens underground. Slow does not mean absent.

Roots Grow Where Nobody Applauds

Colossians 2:7 (KJV) speaks of being rooted and built up in Christ. God may be strengthening understanding, waiting, surrender, discernment, private obedience, and the ability to sit with uncertainty without control.

I Thought I Was Past This

An old struggle reappearing does not necessarily mean nothing changed. Maybe you once recognized the pattern afterward, then during it, and now as it starts.

A Setback Is Not the Same as Going Backward

If you fall on a long trail, you fell where you were. You did not return to the beginning. Repent, repair, seek accountability, and rise again. Proverbs 24:16 (KJV) says a just man falls and rises again.

Repeated Lessons Are Not Always Failure

Sometimes God is deepening what He already began. A familiar principle can require greater capacity in a new season.

Sometimes We Really Are Stuck

“Growth takes time” cannot excuse refusal. There is a difference between struggling to obey and deciding not to obey.

Growth Can Look Like Recognizing Sooner

Maybe anxiety still appeared, but did not make the decision. Maybe anger came, but you paused. Maybe you reacted, but apologized in an hour instead of defending for days. Do not dismiss small fruit.

Fruit Has Seasons

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) reminds us that faithfulness can look different in different seasons: building, recovering, pouring out, replenishing.

He began. He is working. You participate. You obey. You repent. You practice. You remain. Do not stand over your own soul demanding fruit before its season. Keep walking, listening, returning, and occasionally looking back. God may have changed more than you realized.
